5 or 6 Telltale Signs of Autumn

  1. Violent increase in online activity, esp. purchases of bulk herbs, teas, probiotic cultures, Araki prints...
  2. British miniseries- inspired catharsis
  3. Morbid-self-love
  4. Morbid joy
  5. Voluntary Skeleton costumes.
  6. Pint of cream in (rather, with) morning tea.
Also, roasting yams for every other meal.  Also, inappropriately frequent use of "autumnal" in response to how one is faring.... "Autumnal" meaning grumpy, sedentary, insatiate, and cold.

Also, awkward confessional-list-blog posts but what the hell, I  am brimming with morbid self-love and joy!

Andrea Zittel.Water Hermitage

Awoke to rather frightening under-eye circles: I passed the witching hour in silly euphoria over Andrea Zittel's work:

Cubbies!

Floating 44-ton "fantasy island"  Zittel built then
lived upon for a month off the coast of Denmark

Eat Art?

Today I received a magical gift: fresh goat milk from a local herd tended in mission canyon.... The texture, taste, antique mason jar, grass roots delivery, healing properties, and food politics of it invite the question: Raw goat milk as art?

While my kefir-giddy plans for wild-fermentation -video-installations are questionable, the  acknowledged experience does feel exquisitely post-modern.

 (humor pause here)

(pause worsens) and as art is intended to be received, consumed, by the senses.... I am quite astir with my new piece: The Lavendar  and Earl Grey Goat Milk Latte) Hurrah for taste! :)
